Chinese Nursing Management. 2026, 26 (7):  1011-1015.  DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1672-1756.2026.07.011
Abstract ( 57 )
Objective: To analyze the barrier factors for exercise management in patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), and to formulate coping strategies, providing a basis for clinical practice. Methods: Using the knowledge transformation framework as the theoretical framework, review indicators were developed and review methods were determined based on evidence. A review was conducted on 154 inpatients with IBD, 34 nurses, 2 physicians, and 2 exercise prescription therapists from gastroenterology department of a tertiary grade A hospital in Zhenjiang between September 1 and December 31, 2023, to identify gaps between clinical practice and the evidence. Guided by the social cognitive theory, interviews were conducted with 17 patients and 8 healthcare professionals. Directed content analysis method was used to analyze the barrier and facilitating factors of introducing evidence into clinical practice, and then corresponding strategies were formulated. Results: A total of 20 audit indicators were formulated, of which 18 had a compliance rate less than 60%. Barriers analysis showed that patients mainly had behavioral dilemma of "fear of exercise, knowing but not doing", error outcome expectation, insufficient self-efficacy, weak self-regulation ability and lack of social support. At the medical staff level, there is a lack of system and insufficient training. The formed strategies for implementation included forming a multidisciplinary team, optimizing the venue and conducting training, formulating individualized prescriptions and conducting follow-ups; enhancing patient compliance through diversified education, home monitoring, family and group support. Conclusion: There is a big gap between the clinical status and the best evidence of exercise management in IBD patients. Nurses should implement coping strategies to facilitate the implementation of exercise management, thereby improving patient outcomes.

Simulation and optimization of Beijing's elderly care service policies: effects and pathways
GONG Yingguang, LUO Jinkai, WANG Yifan, MA Qibo, CHEN Guixiang
Chinese Nursing Management. 2026, 26 (7):  1016-1022.  DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1672-1756.2026.07.012
Abstract ( 58 )
Objective: To examine the implementation effects of Beijing's policies for elderly care services, and to provide evidence for policy optimization and evidence-based decisionmaking. Methods: A system dynamics model was constructed and calibrated using data from the Beijing Statistical Yearbook (2015-2025). Simulations of policy trends from 2026 to 2035 were performed using Vensim PLE software. Four intervention scenarios were designed—namely, optimized financial investment, nursing workforce development, long-term care insurance enhancement, and a composite performance index—and the simulation outcomes under these scenarios were compared. Results: The model demonstrated goodness of fit and robustness, with relative errors below 5%. Simulation results indicated that optimized financial investment alone cannot resolve the nursing workforce shortage; nursing workforce development alone cannot correct resource misallocation; and even after long-term care insurance enhancement, workforce gaps and resource misallocation remain prominent. Furthermore, the composite performance index was found to be correlated with the supply-demand ratio, population gap, individual financial burden, and fiscal sustainability. Conclusion: The elderly care service system in Beijing exhibits complex bidirectional feedback among population demand, service supply, and fiscal investment. No single policy instrument is sufficient to overcome the structural contradictions; therefore, stronger coordination among multiple policy instruments is essential.

Chinese Nursing Management. 2026, 26 (7):  1029-1034.  DOI: 10.3969/j.issn.1672-1756.2026.07.014
Abstract ( 40 )
Objective: To explore the internal association among gestational weight management behaviors and their influencing factors, and to provide evidence for interventions targeting weight management during pregnancy. Methods: A total of 578 pregnant women attending an obstetric outpatient clinic in a tertiary grade A hospital in Wuhan from March to June 2025 were recruited by convenience sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires including the demographic information form, Depression Anxiety Stress Scale-21, the Perceived Social Support Scale, and the Weight Management Behavior Scale. Multiple linear regression analysis were used to analyze the influencing factors of gestational weight management behaviors, and network models were constructed, including network relationship analysis of gestational weight management behaviors and mixed network analysis of behaviors and influencing factors. Results: The mean weight management behavior score was 55.75±13.47, indicating a moderate level. Network analysis of gestational weight management behaviors showed that persistent exercise was the core node, while making exercise plans and checking implementation status as well as dietary control were bridge nodes. Mixed network analysis demonstrated that higher educational level was directly and positively associated with measuring and recording body weight once a week, reducing the intake of fried/high-fat foods and sugar-sweetened beverages, and not storing high-calorie or favorite foods at home. Non-employment status was directly and negatively associated with continuing to work and doing light household chores as usual during pregnancy. Depressive symptoms were directly and negatively associated with reducing the intake of fried/high-fat foods and sugar-sweetened beverages, whereas higher social support was directly and positively associated with continuing to exercise even without access to a gym or exercise equipment. Conclusion: Based on the analysis, a structured pattern of associations exists among gestational weight management behaviors and the related factors. Active persistence in exercise, making exercise plans and checking implementation status, and dietary control may serve as potential targets for interventions on gestational weight management.
