Abstract: Objective: To explore the application effects of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) nursing clinic in continuing care for patients following Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), so as to provide references for the construction of TCM nursing clinic. Methods: A tertiary grade A TCM hospital in Shaanxi province initiated TCM nursing clinic services for patients discharged after PCI in June 2025. The services included individualized prescriptions and health education based on TCM syndrome differentiation assessment, appropriate techniques, traditional Chinese exercises, emotional care, and dietary therapy based on syndrome differentiation. Changes in physical fitness, psychological status, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), and TCM syndrome scores of patients at 3 months after discharge were compared between the pre-implementation (June to December, 2024) and the post-implementation (June to December, 2025). Results: At 3 months after discharge, patients in the post-implementation group showed significantly better outcomes in upper limb strength, lower limb strength, flexibility, and balance than those in the pre-implementation group (all P<0.05). Additionally, they had lower PSQI scores (4.84±0.67), GAD-7 scores (3.15±0.95), PHQ-9 scores (3.06±0.93) and TCM syndrome scores compared with those in the pre-implementation group. Conclusion: The TCM nursing clinic can improve sleep quality and psychological status, promote the recovery of cardiac function classification, and enhance physical fitness in patients.
