Abstract: The role of patients in the disease and medical decision-making process has received increasing attention. The patient journey mapping, as a patient-centered visualization tool, helps medical staff understand the personal experiences and needs of patients at various stages of the disease. This article elaborates on the concept of the patient journey mapping, its application advantages and limitations in the digital field, aiming to explore how to leverage the advantages of digital health to assist in developing the patient journey mapping for formulating targeted disease interventions for patients, optimizing the patient's medical experience, and enabling medical institutions to adapt to changes in patient needs, providing a reference for achieving personalized and efficient medical services.
