Study on the influence factors of nurses' Professional Commitment in a comprehensive grade III-A hospital

Objective: To explore the influence factors of nurses' professional commitment in a comprehensive grade III-A hospital, and provide scientific basis for intervention measures worked out by nursing administrators. Method: A cross-sectional study was carried out among the registered nurses in a comprehensive grade III-A hospital with general condition questionnaire and 7 scales of nurses, professional commitment, working environment, job stress, job burnout, job satisfaction, social support and organizational commitment, respectively. Multiple linear regression model was applied to analyzing the influence factors of nurses,professional commitment. Result: A total of 632 registered nurses were recruited. The score of nurses, professional commitment was range 1.3~5.0, median 3.2 (2.8, 3.5). Multiple linear regression analysis disclosed that age, professional and technical titles,employment form, salary, and the level of organizational commitment, job satisfaction and job burnout were the influence factors of nurses, professional commitment. Conclusion: The nurses' professional commitment was at middle level. The influence factors of nurses, professional commitment included age, professional and technical titles, employment form, salary, and the level of organizational commitment, job satisfaction and job burnout.
