Abstract: Gastric residuals (GRs) is common among preterm infants because of their immature intestinal tract and the influences of the illness and drugs, however, we still lack uniform standards in the management of GRs. The authors reviewed the contributing factors, evaluation and management of GRs in order to provide suggestions for the clinical nurses.
