Abstract: Objective: Based on the Theory of Planned Behavior and the Technology Acceptance Model, this study aims to investigate the current status of nurses' acceptance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications and analyze the influencing factors, thereby providing a basis for enhancing nurses' willingness to adopt AI and promoting its clinical application. Methods: A convenience sampling method was employed to conduct a questionnaire survey among 563 in-service nurses from 21 hospitals in Guangdong province from May to December 2024. The survey instruments included a demographic questionnaire and the Nurse AI Application Acceptance Questionnaire. Multiple linear regression analysis was performed to identify the factors influencing nurses' acceptance of AI. Results: A total of 563 valid questionnaires were collected. The average score for nurses' acceptance of AI application was 122.68±25.53. Besides, multiple linear regression analysis revealed that nurses' gender, educational background, professional rank, and prior experience with electronic nursing documentation systems and hospital's information connectivity level were significant influencing factors (P<0.05). And these factors collectively explained 24.0% of the total variance in acceptance. Conclusion: Clinical nurses' acceptance of AI is generally at a moderate level, indicating significant room for improvement. It is therefore recommended that to increase information connectivity and reduce concerns to facilitate the application of AI in clinical practice.
