Effects evaluation of Integrative Psychological Nursing Intervention Methds based on MPNFS Model among nurses working in the frontline clinical departments against COVID-19

Abstract: Objective: To evaluate effects of integrative psychological nursing intervention methods based on MPNFS Model in alleviating the psychological stress and job burnout of the frontline nurses in fighting against COVID-19. Methods: Integrative psychological nursing intervention was conducted in 47 nurses who was working in the frontline clinical departments against COVID-19. Psychological Stress Self-Evaluation Test (PSET) Scale and Chinese Maslach Burnout Inventory (CMBI) Scale were used to compare the psychological stress and job burnout of nurses before and after the intervention. Results: The PSET and CMBI scores of nurses decreased significantly after the intervention (P<0.001), and the main clinical manifestations of nurses were effectively alleviated or improved after the intervention. Conclusion: The integrative psychological nursing intervention methods is benefit to alleviate the psychological stress and job burnout of nurses working in the frontline clinical departments against COVID-19, and is helpful for them to maintain physical and mental health.
