Abstract: Using time axis as a framework, this article reviewed the literature and summarized the past twenty years' history of Chinese nursing management based on the significant events including the incubation of the "fifteenth" strategic nursing career development plan, the implementation of consecutive strategic nursing career development plans, the implementation of the nurses ordinance, the promotion of quality nursing service, and the emergency rescue of the public emergencies, etc.
