Abstract: Objective: To construct a nursing safety evaluation index system for inpatients in unaccompanied hospitals, and to provide reference standards for the evaluation of nursing safety management in unaccompanied hospitals. Methods: Based on the Wuli-Shili-Renli (WSR) system approach, through literature review, semi-structured interviews, focus group meetings and Delphi method, a nursing safety evaluation index system for inpatients in unaccompanied hospitals was established. The final indicators weight were analyzed by analytic hierarchy process. Results: The effective recovery rates of the two rounds of expert letter questionnaires were both 100%, the expert authority coefficients were 0.926 and 0.938, and the Kendall harmony coefficients were 0.194 and 0.237 (P<0.001). The final nursing safety evaluation index system for inpatients in unaccompanied hospitals includes 3 first-level indicators, 13 second-level indicators, and 39 third-level indicators. Conclusion: The established nursing safety evaluation index system for inpatients in unaccompanied hospitals is scientific and practical, and the content is comprehensive. It can provide reference for the nursing safety management of inpatients in unaccompanied hospitals, and provide nursing safety guarantee for promoting the development of unaccompanied hospitals.
