Abstract: Due to the particularity of vascular structure, it is difficult to collect venous blood sample from elderly patients, which would directly affect their clinical treatment. This study analyzed and summarized the research progress of venous blood sample collection in elderly patients from the characteristics of their venous blood vessels, venous blood sample collection process and secure management strategies, in order to provide a basis for the standardized management of venous blood sample collection and reference to ensure more successful and safe blood collection in the elderly.
