Application of video games in health education for patients with malignant tumors: a scoping review

摘要: 目的:对电子游戏在恶性肿瘤患者健康教育中的文章进行范围审查,为其临床推广应用和相关研究提供参考。方法:以JBI范围综述指南为指导,使用检索词在8个中英文数据库中进行文献检索,检索时限为建库至2021年11月1日,对纳入文献进行汇总和分析。结果:共纳入10篇文献,均为英文文献,发表时间为2006年—2020年;纳入研究的8个不同的电子游戏主要基于移动应用程序和网页,为患者提供健康教育内容。电子游戏的效果评价主要包括电子游戏内容的可接受性、患者满意度和患者结局指标。结论:电子游戏在恶性肿瘤患者健康教育中具有显著的优势,但目前在临床应用中也存在一定的局限性,以健康教育为目的的电子游戏是未来临床健康教育发展的重点。

Abstract: Objective: To review the scope of studies on video games in the health education for patients with malignant tumors. Methods: Based on the methodological framework of the Joanna Briggs Institute Scope Review Guide, a comprehensive search was conducted in 8 Chinese and English databases from the establishment of the database to November 1, 2021. The included studies were summarized and analyzed. Results: A total of 10 English articles were included with the publication time from 2006 to 2020. A total of 8 video games included in the study were mainly based on platforms such as APPs and web pages to provide patients with health education materials. The effect evaluation of video games mainly included the acceptability, patient satisfaction, patients health outcomes. Conclusion: Video games have significant advantages in health education for patients with malignant tumors, but they also have certain limitations in clinical applications. Video games for health education are the focus of future clinical education.
