Abstract: Objective: To comprehensively describe the hope experience of parents of children with cancer through Meta synthesis of qualitative studies. Methods: The Chinese and English databases were comprehensively searched to collect qualitative studies relevant to the hope experience of parents of children with cancer from database establishment to December 2021. The quality of the included studies was evaluated according to the quality evaluation standard of qualitative research (2016 Edition) of JBI evidence-based health care center in Australia. The findings were integrated through the pooled integration method. Results: A total of 12 articles were included. Thirty-seven research topics were extracted and summarized into 11 new categories, which were grouped into 4 integrated findings: the process and way of hope existence; the source of hope; the positive role of hope; obstacles of hope maintenance. Conclusion: During care of cancer children, it is very important to maintain parents' hope. The sources of hope are diversified, and the parents' hope experience of children can be strengthened through multiple ways. We should pay attention to the corresponding needs of parents of children and improve the hope level and quality of care.
