Abstract

Abstract: An efficient vascular access is particularly important for successful Therapeutic Plasma Exchanges (TPE). Currently, the most commonly used vascular access devices include peripheral and central venous catheters in TPE. Such two kinds of vascular access have their own characteristics in application and nursing care in TPE. This article reviewed the characteristics, choices and care of complications in this two kinds of vascular accesses. We aimed to provide evidence for clinical nursing and improve the efficacy and safety of plasma exchange.
