Abstract: Objective: To understand the experience of clinical nurses on implementing narrative nursing for terminal patients in combination with Chinese traditional culture, and to provide reference for the clinical promotion of localized narrative nursing. Methods: Using snowball sampling method, 12 clinical nurses with narrative nursing experience in terminal patients were selected for semi-structured interviews, and the transcripts were analyzed by theme analysis method. Results: In the process of implementing localized narrative nursing for terminal patients, the experience of clinical nurses included four themes: clinical revolution, practice course, self-benefit, and dilemma and challenge. Conclusion: The implementation of localized narrative nursing for terminal patients not only alleviates the pain of patients, but also enhances the professional value of clinical nurses. However, narrative nursing practice also faces many challenges, and the support from management and organization level is needed to ensure the sustainable development of localized narrative nursing practice.
