Practice of nursing human resource management under vertical management mode

Abstract: Objective: To explore the effects of implementation of vertical management of nursing staff in hospital. Methods: The vertical management of nursing staff in hospital was implemented in the hospital, including job setting and staffing, human resources deployment, nursing staff training and allocation, performance evaluation management and other aspects. The practical results were summarized. Results: After implementing vertical management, the nurses in front line accounted for 98.23% of the total number of nurses in the hospital, the turnover rate of nurses decreased by nearly 50.00% compared with that before the reform, and the nurses' job satisfaction increased from 95.00% to 98.00%. The incidence of adverse nursing events in inpatients decreased from 0.11% to 0.08%, and the proportion of accidents decreased from 33.95% to 23.61%. Conclusion: Conducting nursing vertical management is beneficial to maximize the value of nursing human resources and establish a fair and effective nursing performance evaluation mechanism.
