Abstract: Objective: To analyse the current situation and the advancement of nursing handoff evaluation tools in China and abroad, and to provide references for the development and implementation of nursing handoff evaluation tools in future. Methods: According to the research method of scoping review, related databases were searched from inception to December 16, 2022, the literatures and their references on nursing handoff evaluation tools were retrieved. Results: A total of 13 literatures were collected, including 8 kinds of nursing handoff evaluation tools. The evaluation methods were nurse self-evaluation, third-party evaluation and patient evaluation. The evaluation contents included nurse handover, nurse satisfaction, nurse cognitive workload, nurse perception and adaptation readiness of electronic handover, patient satisfaction, and patient's feeling of participating in bedside handover. Conclusion: Nursing handoff evaluation tools combined with clinical needs have been developed in recent years. In order to improve the development of nursing handoff, nursing handoff evaluation tools should be developed or introduced in China.
