Abstract: The reablement model, as an effective approach to resolving the tension between deep aging and insufficient long-term care resources, has been promoted and implemented in numerous countries. Its application reflects a context of shared philosophy but diverse implementation pathways. On the basis of reviewing the fundamental concept and development of reablement care, this paper examines and analyzes its practical applications across different countries, including target populations, intervention characteristics, goal setting, interdisciplinary team collaboration, policy support, and implementation outcomes. Finally, policy implications tailored to China's context are proposed, aiming to provide a theoretical foundation and practical guidance for constructing a long-term older people care system suited to the actual needs of the country.
