Abstract: Objective: To explore the effects of the full course care with intelligent interactive system on Very Low Birth Weight Infant (VLBWI) for providing a reference for establishing the whole-process management system of these infants. Methods: Totally 91 VLBWI and their parents were enrolled at a tertiary hospital in Xiamen from Jan 1, 2021 to Dec 31, 2022. The preterm who admitted from Jan, 2022 to Dec, 2022 were selected as experimental group (n=49), and those admitted from Jan, 2021 to Dec, 2021 were selected as control group (n=42). The experimental group received the full course care with intelligent interactive system. The control group received inpatient care and follow up by primary nurse and clinic nurse, respectively. Parental satisfaction at discharge, infants' anthropometric assessment and follow-up compliance and infants' neurodevelopment were compared. Results: Parental satisfaction of experimental group was higher than those of control group (P<0.05). The height and weight of the preterm infants in the experimental group were better than those of control group at the corrected age of 1, 3 and 6 months (P<0.05). The follow-up compliance of experimental group were higher than those of control group at the corrected age of 3 and 6 months (P<0.05). In addition, the scores of fine motor, adaptability and social contact of infants in experimental group were higher than those of infants in control group at the corrected age of 6 months (P<0.05). Conclusion: With the help of intelligent interactive system, the full course care of VLBWI can realize integrated management of inpatient care and follow-up, which has significant clinical value for promoting the physical and intelligent development of infants, improving their parents' satisfaction and compliance.
