Abstract: Objective: To evaluate the effects of hierarchical management combined with performance assessment in the management of Central Sterile Supply Department. Methods: All staff in the Central Sterile Supply Department were selected. Routine nursing management model was applied from January 2019 to December 2019 while the hierarchical management combined with performance assessment model was adopted from January 2020 to December 2020. The effects were analyzed between these two models. Results: The qualified rate of instrument cleaning was 99.0%, the qualified rate of the device packaging was 99.8%, the qualified rate of the sterile goods storage and delivery was 100.0%, which was significantly higher than before (92.0%, 93.5%, 96.0%, respectively), and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The nurses' total work satisfaction were 85.7%, which were significantly higher than before (68.6%), and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion: Hierarchical management combined with performance assessment in the management of Central Sterile Supply Department has outstanding application effects. It can effectively improve the quality of work and nursing satisfaction, has a very good application prospect.
