Abstract: Objective: Establish a severe and critical disease training system for nurses within 5 years of oncology department and evaluate its application effect. Methods: The severe and critical disease cancer training system for oncology nurses was established, and 49 nurses in a tumor hospital in Ningxia were selected and received theoretical training and cultivation of practical ability. The Keshi model was used to evaluate its effect. Results: The overall score of satisfaction for severe and critical disease training was 95.76%, and the satisfaction for trainers, training contents and organizations was 96.14%, 95.56% and 95.41%, respectively. After training, the scores of knowledge and skill increased from (71.88 ±7.05) and (77.24 ±5.41) to (77.24 ±5.40) and (93.88 ±0.75). The total score of nurses' behavior, attitude and post ability (48.92±4.90; 61.37±6.96) was higher than that before training (43.29±6.02; 51.04±9.04), additionally, the overall score of clinical nursing service quality of nurses (95.88±2.52) was higher than that before training (93.92±4.48), the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion: The system of severe and critical disease training system for oncology nurses can enhance the comprehensive ability of nurses, improve the quality of nursing services and ensure the safety of patients.
