Construction of a core theoretical course framework for Oncology Advanced Practice Nurse

Abstract

Abstract: Objective: To establish a core theoretical course framework for Oncology Advanced Practice Nurse (OAPN) in China. Methods: The Delphi consultation questionnaire was developed based on the results of interviews and a comprehensive literature review. The framework of core theoretical course of OAPN was determined through two-round expert consultations. Results: A total of 55 experts from 11 hospitals and 4 medical schools in 10 provinces and cities were recruited, and two-round of expert correspondence were conducted. The final core theoretical course framework included 6 primary indicators and 31 secondary indicators. Conclusion: The core theoretical course framework for OAPN is established, which lays the foundation for carrying out advanced practice nurse training in oncology in China.
