Abstract: Objective: To develop indicators for day-surgery patients' safety management based on the Enterprise Risk Management-Integrated Framework (COSO-ERM framework). Methods: Drawing on the elements of COSO-ERM framework, we used the literature review, survey and Delphi methods to develop nursing safety management indictors for day-surgery patients. The weight of each indicator was determined by analytic hierarchy process. Results: We developed indicators for day-surgery patients' safety management, which included 3 first-level indicators, 12 second-level indicators and 41 third-level indicators. In this study, the return rates of the two rounds of Delphi were both 100%. The authority coefficients were 0.892 and 0.920 respectively, and the Kendall's coordination coefficients were 0.224 and 0.230 respectively (P<0.001). Conclusion: The safety management indicators for day-surgery patients developed in this study provides the standard for safe nursing care of day-surgery patients, and is worthy of clinical application and promotion.
