Abstract: Transition shock for newly graduated nurses is a disturbing experience resulting from a gap between theory and practice. The high transition shock of newly graduated nurses will lead to an increase in their turnover rate, a decline in job satisfaction and quality of work life, and even affect patient safety. This article reviews the theoretical basis, assessment tools, influencing factors, and intervention measures of transition shock of newly graduated nurses. We aim to improve the attention of nursing managers to the transition shock of newly graduated nurses, help them better train and retain nursing talents, and provide references and suggestions for future research in related fields.
