Status and its influencing factors of the general well-being of nurses in blood collection and supply institutions

Abstract: Objective: To investigate the general well-being of nurses in blood collection and supply institutions. Methods: In March 2022, the convenient sampling method was adopted to conduct a questionnaire survey among nurses in blood collection and supply institutions in Beijing. The survey was conducted using the General Well-being Scale. A total of 308 valid questionnaires were collected. Results: The General Well-being score of nurses was 83.91±16.11, which was at a high level. Among the dimensions, the scores of happy or depressed mood were the highest, which was 5.39±1.16, and the lowest was life satisfaction and interest, which was 3.43±1.21. The multiple regression analysis showed that length of service, employment methods, education background were the influencing factors of nurses' general well-being. Conclusion: Nurse managers should perform relevant intervention measures in order to enhance the general well-being of nurses in blood collection and supply institutions in the future.
