Abstract: Objective: To systematically review the quality of guidelines for the management of oral mucositis in children with malignant tumors, and to provide a basis for constructing an evidence-based practice plan for the management of oral mucositis in children with malignant tumors. Methods: Literature databases, websites of societies and guidelines in Chinese or English were searched from the establishment of the database to January 31, 2021. The Appraisal of Guidelines for Research and Evaluation II (AGREE II) was used to evaluate the quality of the guidelines and summarize the recommended contents. Results: Nine guidelines included, with the overall quality evaluation of Grade B. A total of 22 recommendations for the management of oral mucositis in children with malignant tumors were obtained, including the assessment, prevention, nursing care, photobiological regulation, cryotherapy and health education. Conclusion: The overall methodological quality of the guidelines for the management of oral mucositis in children with malignant tumors is relatively moderate, which needed to be improved in terms of participants domain and application domain. In the future, cultural adaptation of foreign guidelines is needed to guide clinical practice.
