Exploration and practice of management pathway for patients with Malignant Fungating Wounds based on specialized nursing studio

Abstract: Objective: To explore the management pathway for patients with Malignant Fungating Wounds (MFWs) based on specialized nursing studio and evaluate its clinical practical effects. Methods: The specialized nursing studio and clinical departments were collaborated to form a specialized multidisciplinary team for patients with MFWs. Through group discussion and dynamic evaluation, systematic and precise nursing plan were developed. Nursing services were expanded including online interaction, teaching, gratuitous treatment and other activities. Results: A total of 11 patients with MFWs were cared for in the studio, 11 sets of individualized care plans for patients with MFWs were formulated, 4 free community clinics and 4 community voluntary classes were conducted. The satisfaction of patients and their families was over 95%. Conclusion: The practice of multidisciplinary team based on specialized nursing studio provides dynamic and precise care services for patients with MFWs, and promotes the professional development of MFWs nursing, which is worthy of clinical reference and application.
