Abstract: Objective: To investigate the status of missed nursing care and analyze the influence of nurses' general information and their working environment on missed nursing care. Methods: The convenience sampling method was used to select the clinical nurses working in grade A tertiary hospital in Beijing from September 2020 to March 2021 as subjects, who were given the general data questionnaire, the Practice Environment Scale of the Nursing Work Index and MISSCARE Survey (Part A) for investigation. And the influencing factors of missed nursing care were analyzed by Logistic regression. Results: The incidence of missed nursing care was 40.1%. The regression analysis results showed that nurses' highest educational background, their weekly overtime work and job satisfaction, sufficient manpower and material resources in the nursing work environment and nurses' participation in hospital affairs were the influencing factors of missed nursing care (P<0.05). Conclusion: The incidence of missed nursing care is high and nurses with bachelor degree, more weekly overtime work and less work satisfaction are more likely to have missed nursing care. However, it is beneficial to reduce the level of missed nursing care if sufficient manpower and material resources are provided with nurses being encouraged to participate more in hospital affairs.
