Abstract: Objective: To explore the effects of the preoperative visit system based on WeChat platform and multi-disciplinary participation on painless gastrointestinal endoscopy. Methods: From January 2018 to December 2018, 419 patients receiving multidisciplinary preoperative visits based on WeChat platform were selected as the experimental group, and 378 patients receiving routine preoperative visits from January 2017 to December 2017 were selected as the control group. Both groups of patients were given painless gastrointestinal endoscopy in our hospital's operating room, a specialized operating room for patients. The change of anxiety level, the effects achieved, the Boston bowel preparation score and satisfaction of the two groups before and after the visits were compared and the time for the visit of the two groups was recorded. Results: The anxiety score of the experimental group (1.05±0.67) was lower than that of the control group (2.90±0.92) with the difference being statistically significant (P<0.05). The time spent by visiting nurses in the experimental group (8.58±1.50) min was less than that in the control group (15.37±2.29) min and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Among the ten items of the questionnaire, nine items in the experimental group were better than those in the control group (P<0.05). The Boston bowel preparation score (6.95±0.86) in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group (6.19±1.43), the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The satisfaction of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion: The preoperative visit system based on WeChat platform and multi-disciplinary participation in painless gastrointestinal endoscopy was effective, which could reduce the anxiety of patients and the visit time, improve the visit effects, the satisfaction of patients and the quality of work in the operating room.
