Abstract: Objective: To synthesise the findings of qualitative papers exploring the experience of ICU nurses' caring for dying patients. The quality of included studies was evaluated according to JBI Critical Appraisal Tool for qualitative studies. The results were integrated by integrating methods. Results: Totally 15 studies were included. Sixty-two complete findings were grouped to form 13 new categories according to similarities. These categories resulted in 4 synthesized findings: create a good death, emotional reactions, challenge and dilemma, demand and hope.
