Abstract: Objective: To explore the effects of discharge preparation service in the perioperative period of breast cancer patients. Methods: This study was a quasi-experiment design. In the control group, 55 breast cancer patients received conventional care and telephone follow-up after discharge from September 2018 to June 2019.In the experimental group, another 55 breast cancer patients received discharge preparation service from July 2019 to April 2020. The discharge readiness, limb swelling, shoulder joint mobility, discharge guidance quality, and the quality of life were compared. Results: The difference in aspect of discharge preparation, quality of discharge guidance, motion of shoulder joint and quality of life between experimental and control group was statistically significant (P<0.001), while no statistically significant difference in the degree of limb swelling (P>0.05). Conclusion: The application of discharge preparation service can effectively reduce the occurrence of postoperative shoulder joint mobility disorder and improve the quality of life of the patients in the perioperative period.
