Analysis of the job embedding status and influencing factors of ICU nurses

Abstract: Objective: To analyze the job embedding status and influencing factors of ICU nurses. Methods: 196 ICU nurses in five tertiary grade A general hospital in Shenzhen were surveyed by the general questionnaire, Global Job Embeddedness Items (GJEI), Nurse Career Commitment Questionnaire and The Practice Environment Scale of the Nursing Work Index (PES-NWI). Results: ICU nurses' job embedding score was 21.52±2.81. Age, marital status, number of night shifts per month, nurses' professional commitment, and nursing work environment entered the regression equation, can explain 40.1% of the total variation. Conclusion: Nursing managers can intervene the influencing factors to improve the job embedding level of ICU nurses, so as to stabilize the ICU nurses.
