Abstract: Objective: To investigate the current status of body image in patients with head and neck cancer, and to analyze the influencing factors. Methods: A total of 106 cancer patients receiving surgery were surveyed by the General Information Scale, Body Image Scale (BIS), Perceived Social Support Scale (PSSS), Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire (SCSQ), and Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS). Results: The total body image of patients with head and neck cancer was 5.00 (4.00, 7.00). Multiple regression analysis showed that anxiety emotion, disease stage, positive coping style, educational level and gender were the influencing factors of the patient's body image (R2=0.346, F=12.119, P<0.001). Conclusion: Patients with head and neck cancer experienced body image disturbance. Medical staff should pay attention to the patient's body image and formulate corresponding intervention measures to improve the body image level of patients and promote their physical and mental health.
