Research progress on disease communication between cancer patients and their minor children

Abstract: Disease communication is a process through which patients and their families exchange information, express emotions, and provide psychological support. Scientific and effective disease communication plays a crucial role in alleviating the psychosocial challenges faced by cancer patients and their minor children, as well as in enhancing family resilience. This article reviews recent research on disease communication between cancer patients and their minor children, analyzes the patterns, influencing factors, and current types of interventions involved, and offers recommendations based on existing challenges, with the aim of providing guidance for the development of future research protocols.
