Abstract: Objective: To conduct a systematic evaluation of qualitative studies on the experience of utilizing medical services among enterostomy patients, so as to provide references for healthcare providers to optimize care strategies. Methods: We systematically searched qualitative studies on enterostomy patients’ experience of utilizing medical services in relevant databases from their inception to March 24, 2025, and adopted integrative synthesis to analyze the results. Results: A total of 11 articles were included to extract 42 themes which could be summarized into 8 categories. Finally, four integrated findings were synthesized, namely insufficient information and educational support, lack of psychosocial support and difficulty in life adaptation, helplessness and uncertainty caused by communication barriers and lack of continuous services, and overcoming obstacles to seek favorable support systems. Conclusion: Enterostomy patients have multiple experiences during the process of utilizing medical services. Therefore, healthcare providers should strengthen health education to improve patients' disease awareness and self-care ability. Moreover, it's necessary to integrate multi-party resources to help patients build a support system and continuously optimize nursing models to alleviate their treatment burden.
