Evidence summary for the maintenance of the dressing of Central Venous Catheter in children

Abstract: Objective: To evaluate and summarize the relevant evidence related to the maintenance of the dressing of Central Venous Catheter in children and provide reference for clinical practice. Methods: We systematically searched domestic and foreign guide websites, professional associations, and databases for evidence related to the maintenance of the dressing of Central Venous Catheter in children. The quality evaluation and data extraction of the included literature were carried out independently by four researchers, and the evidence was summarized according to the judgment of professionals. Results: A total of 7 literatures were included, including 2 guidelines, 2 evidence summaries, 1 recommended practice, 1 systematic review, and 1 expert consensus. Totally 18 pieces of evidence were collected from three aspects: selection, fixation and replacement of the dressing of Central Venous Catheter in children. Conclusion: The evidence summary for the maintenance of the dressing of Central Venous Catheter in children can provide evidence-based basis for improving the standardization of the dressing of Central Venous Catheter application, so as to reduce the occurrence of complications of Central Venous Catheter in children.
