Abstract: Airborne is the main transmission way of COVID-19, and air disinfection is an effective way to reduce the airborne load and transmission capacity of the virus. The main measures for the prevention and control of COVID-19 epidemic include finding and isolating patients, strengthening the control of transmission ways, and protecting susceptible populations. Outpatient clinic is a place with various patients, which has a potential risk of virus transmission, and outpatient air disinfection is one of the important measures to reduce the risk of nosocomial infection and epidemic outbreak. This article summarizes and reviews the current common air disinfection methods and their effects, and aims to provide a reference for hospitals to select appropriate air disinfection ways according to their own conditions, and to achieve the purpose of best regular epidemic prevention and control.
