Abstract: Objective: To construct an optimized insulin injection training program for non-diabetic nurse specialists in a medical alliance, and to evaluate training effects. Methods: We used Miller Pyramid Model to design the training program. We also used Kirkpatrick Model to evaluate the training effects. Totally 426 non-diabetic nurse specialists in the medical alliance were selected as the training subjects. Training effects were evaluated and tracked before and after the training. Results: The training satisfaction of non-diabetic nurse specialists in the medical alliance was high. There were significant differences in the scores of knowledge, attitude and practice, injection skills, self-evaluation, head nurses' evaluation, and the number of wrong key rotation points of insulin injection before and after the training (P<0.05). Conclusion: The training of non-diabetic nurse specialists in the medical alliance can effectively optimize their insulin injection skill level.
