Abstract: Objective: To synthesize findings of qualitative studies on experience of patients with Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (HSCT), so as to fully understand patients' psychological needs and provide better evidence for clinical work. Methods: We searched databases including the Cochrane Library, Joanna Briggs Institute Library, PubMed, Embase, Scopus, Web of Science, CINAHL, Psyc INFO, CNKI and CMB from inception to May 2020 to collect qualitative studies on psychological experience of patients with HSCT. The quality of included studies was evaluated with JBI Critical Appraisal Tool for qualitative studies. The results were integrated by integrating methods. Results: A total of 18 studies were included and 86 complete findings were grouped according to similarities to form nine new categories. These categories resulted in four synthesized findings: negative emotions of HSCT patients, positive emotions of HSCT patients, urgent needs of HSCT patients, and post-transplant debugging of HSCT patients. Conclusion: Healthcare workers should pay more attention to the psychological changes and information needs of HSCT patients, and provide necessary support to help improve the quality of life.
