Abstract: Objective: Establishing hospice care training base for nurses, exploring training mode based on Kolb's Learning Cycle and cultivating specialized nurses with high knowledge and high skill level, to play a leading role in hospice care. Methods: We developed a "5 multiple and 1 interaction" mode to provide students with comprehensive training, including multidimensional contents, multiple teaching methods, multiple practice institutions, multiple assessment form, multiple platform and interaction between practice and theory, guided by students' demand, Kolb's Learning Cycle and post competence. Results: Since we became hospice care training base, we've successfully held 2 training courses and trained a total of 87 nurses, as well received 48 students for practice. The teaching quality has been continuously improved and the construction of training base in turn promoted the development of hospice care in hospital. Conclusion: The establishment of hospice care training bases meets the needs of nurses. It is necessary to continue to strengthen the construction, improve the training system, and cultivate more high-level talents.
