Abstract: This article reviews the management experience and research progress of domestic medical waste in foreign countries and analyzes the types and management status of domestic medical waste in China. We put forward some suggestions to further standardize the management and research of domestic medical waste, such as improving the management regulations of domestic medical waste, clarifying the responsibilities of the government and management agencies, establishing the recycling channels, and issuing the guidelines on the classification and disposal of home medical waste as soon as possible.
