Abstract: Objective: To construct a new online platform combining Hyper Text Marked Language(HTML) technology, online consultation and telephone instruction, and develop home management program for patients with meibomian cysts who have been suspended from surgery during the outbreak of COVID-19. Methods: Totally 71 patients with surgical indications of meibomian cyst were included. The nursing care information, home care guidance, information collection and feedback registration were integrated through HTML technology. The home management-Internet hospital diagnosis and treatment process of patients with meibomian cysts was optimized. Online diagnosis, treatment and regular telephone consultation was performed for four weeks. Results: Twenty nine patients cancelled surgery, 4 patients continued to take conservative treatment, and 38 patients were still waiting for surgery. Conclusion: The online platform, which combines HTML technology, online consultation and telephone instruction, can be performed effectively during the outbreak of COVID-19. It can improve the patients' condition and anxiety, provide the patients with high satisfaction and effective home management strategies, and reduce the risk of hospital acquired infection of COVID-19. Therefore, the online platform is an effective management platform for patients with meibomian cysts in special period. It can be recommended in daily diagnosis, treatment and nursing care.
