Abstract: Objective: To investigate the reliability and validity of the Chinese version of Children's Amblyopia Treatment Quality of Life Questionnaire (CATQoL). Methods: The original CATQoL was translated into Chinese and adjusted by the expert panel. The reliability and validity of the Chinese version of CATQoL was tested on a sample of 122 children with amblyopia treatment. Results: The scores of each item are positively correlated with the total score of the scale, the correlation coefficient were between 0.45 and 0.80 (P<0.01). The content validity index of the scale was 0.93. The correlation coefficients between the scores of the two dimensions and the total score were 0.58 and 0.55, respectively, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01). The exploratory factor analysis extracted two common factors, which explained a total of 62.85% of the total variance. The total Cronbach 's α coefficient of the scale is 0.91. The retest reliability is 0.85. Conclusion: The Chinese Version of CATQoL has good reliability and validity, and is suitable for evaluating the quality of life of children with amblyopia in China.
