Practice and application of O2O mode in PICC maintenance clinic based on Smart Health

Abstract: Objective: To improve the maintenance outcomes, medical experience and satisfaction of patients with PICC catheters. Methods: 1 403 patients recruited in the PICC clinic were divided in accordance with the care modes used into a control group adopting an offline mode (n=755) and an observation group employing the O2O mode (n=648). Results: Patients in the observation group showed better performance and results regarding duration of visit, data integrity, satisfaction, infection in the puncture sites and better acceptance in health education such as awareness of emergency situation, contact information, abnormal puncture sites and dressing conditions, functional exercise and precautions compared with the control group (P<0.01). Conclusion: The O2O mode can improve the maintenance outcomes, medical experience and satisfaction of patients with PICC catheters.
