Abstract: Objective: To develop ICU Delirium Knowledge Questionnaire and test its reliability and validity. Methods: We developed ICU Delirium Knowledge Questionnaire by clarifying the research purpose and framework, establishing the item database, selecting and revising the questions, pre-testing and screening the questions. The reliability and validity of the questionnaire were assessed in 222 ICU nurses in three tertiary hospitals in Beijing. Results: The item-content validity index of the questionnaire ranged between 0.83 and 1.00, the scale-content validity index was 0.96. The Cronbach’s α coefficient of the questionnaire was 0.82. Item difficulty index ranged between 0.17 and 0.80. Average index of discrimination was 0.46. Conclusion: The ICU Delirium Knowledge Questionnaire is a valid and reliable instrument for evaluating the knowledge level of ICU nurses in China.
