Abstract: Regulation on the Prevention and Handling of Medical Disputes (the "Regulations") have detailed provisions on the prevention, treatment and legal responsibilities of medical disputes, and have been officially implemented. The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is a high-risk area for medical disputes. This article is based on the NICU nursing work experience and discussed the relevant contents of the Regulations from seven aspects: humanistic care, ethics, notification and communication, standardized management, evidence preservation, illegal liability and rights maintenance. The content was discussed to provide reference for the implementation of the Regulations in the NICU nursing work.
