Abstract: Objective: To investigate trainees from 10 standardized midwifery training bases across the country to provide a basis for the midwifery education, training and policies. Methods: A self-designed questionnaire was used to investigate the ability improvement and professional identity of trainees participating in the national standardized training from 2016 to 2019. Results: Through the national midwife standardized training, the trainees have significantly improved their basic ability, midwifery professional ability and comprehensive ability. Their evaluation of the superior leader was consistent with their self-evaluation. The trainees have improved their professional cognition, positive professional emotion, professional will, professional identity and professional development goals. Conclusion: The standardized training of midwives has achieved remarkable results across the country. The knowledge, skills and attitudes of the trainees have been improved in a balanced manner, and high training quality has been obtained.
