Abstract: Objective: To construct an Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs) framework for psychiatric nurses in standardized residency training, aiming to provide a standardized and operable tool for their clinical competency cultivation and phased assessment. Methods: The core EPAs indicators, their content descriptions, and expected entrustment levels for psychiatric nurses in standardized residency training were determined through literature review and the Delphi expert consultation method. The core competencies corresponding to these EPAs indicators were established via an expert panel meeting, thereby forming the core EPAs framework. Results: Two rounds of Delphi consultation involving 24 experts were completed, with valid questionnaire response rates of 100% for both rounds. The expert authority coefficient was 0.883. The Kendall's W coefficients for the importance scores of the indicators were 0.361 and 0.426 for the two rounds, respectively (both P<0.001). The final framework encompasses 4 domains and 24 EPAs indicators with detailed descriptions. The required core competencies and the expected entrustment levels at different training stages for each indicator were also clarified. Conclusion: The EPAs framework for psychiatric nurses in standardized residency training constructed in this study demonstrates scientific validity. It can serve as a reference for the training and assessment of these nurses in the future.
