Abstract: Objective: To investigate the current status and influencing factors of disaster nursing core competencies among disaster rescue nurses, and to provide references for improving their core competencies. Methods: From October to December 2024, a convenience sampling method was used to recruit 256 disaster rescue nurses in tertiary hospitals in Guangdong. Data were collected using a general information questionnaire, Core Competencies in Disaster Nursing Scale for Disaster Rescue Nurses, The Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale, Perceived Organizational Support Scale. Results: The total score of disaster nursing core competencies of nurses was 124.03±24.33, with an average item score of 3.76±0.74. The total score rate was 75.2%. Multiple linear regression analysis revealed that autonomy in learning disaster knowledge, psychological resilience, and perceived organizational support were factors influencing the core disaster nursing competency of disaster rescue nurses (P<0.05). Conclusion: The disaster nursing core competency of disaster rescue nurses is at a moderate level. Nursing managers should prioritize improving the organizational support system and stimulating individual learning initiative to enhance the core competency of disaster rescue nurses, thereby systematically strengthening their capacity to respond to public health emergencies and disasters.
