Abstract: Objective: To conduct a scoping review on the application of mobile health (mHealth) in self-management for patients with mental disorders and provide evidence for future research and clinical practice. Methods: Following the scoping review framework, we systematically searched databases from their inception to April 30, 2025. Researchers independently screened and extracted data. Results: Ten studies were included and the mental disorders covered schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Mobile Apps and virtual reality were the primary mHealth formats. Core interventions included symptom monitoring, medication management, and mental health education. Outcome analysis indicated significant improvements in psychiatric symptoms, self-management ability, and adherence. However, evidence from long-term follow-up was insufficient. Conclusion: Mobile health is feasible for the self-management of mental disorders, but it requires optimized localization design, enhanced multidisciplinary collaboration, and long-term follow-up studies to validate its long-term effects.
