Abstract: Objective: To conduct a scoping review on the economic value of Advanced Practice Nurse (APN), providing a reference for relevant studies. Methods: Based on the scoping review framework, a systematic search for studies on the economic value of APN was conducted in domestic and foreign databases. The search period ranged from the inception of each database to September 12, 2025. The included studies were comprehensively analyzed by two researchers. Results: A total of 34 studies were included, all of which were from abroad. The economic value of APN was demonstrated in nursing care for different types of diseases, such as cardiovascular diseases, gastrointestinal diseases, respiratory diseases, urinary diseases, orthopedic and rheumatic diseases, neurological and psychiatric diseases, etc. The evaluation indicators, assessment tools, and effects for the economic value of APN mainly involved four aspects: cost-benefit, cost-efficiency, cost-effectiveness and cost-utility. Conclusion: This study has confirmed the economic value of APN. Future research should focus on establishing a standardized framework for evaluating the economic value and conducting more high-quality, long-term health economic evaluations, so as to provide evidence for the optimal allocation of nursing resources, the improvement of hospital service efficiency, and the refinement of medical insurance payment policies.
